Glide

The tutorial Glide was where the sprite was made to glide around the screen. The scripts were informative and there were different combinations that could be used for the sprite to glide around the screen.

Definitions

Algorithms-an effective method for solving a problem expressed as a sequence of steps.

Pseudocode-A notation resembling a simplified programming language, used in program design   

Machine Language- a programming language designed for use on a specific class of computers

High Level Computer Language- A computer language whose instructions or statements each correspond to several machine language instructions, designed to make coding easier

Flowchart- a diagram of the sequence of operations in a computer program or an accounting system

Sequence- A particular order in which related events, movements, or things follow each other

Selection- Data highlighted on a computer screen that is a target for various manipulations

Repetition-The action of repeating something that has already been said or written

Research

I have used several internet sources in order to create my multimedia ebook. Some of the sources that i have used is :

• Advance Broadband Wireless Internet

• Different types of ports

Difficulties and Solutions

A problem that occured today was that the internet was very slow and because I hadn't finished the researching of the topic I was currently working on, I was unable to complete my research on the topic 'handheld devices'. I overcame this difficulty by working on the structure of my powerpoint slideshow. I duplicated the amount of slides I would need, then I put the correct headings, a contents button that is a hyperlink to the contents slide and arrows to  indicate where to go.

Change topics

I have changed the last topic that I have chosen to do. Instead of bdoing bluetooth, I have decided to change the topic to WI-FI.

So far in the powerpoint I have completed the content of 1 topic.

Why I chose powerpoint?

The reason why i chose powerpoint is because it is easy to use and through the use of hyperlinks it is easy to navigate and it is able to reconnect to the home-page through the hyperlinks. The software contains a variety of tools that would be useful in the creation of my multimedia ebook.

Multimedia eBook- topics

For the project, i have decided that i will be using powerpoint to construct the project. The topics that i have chosen to do are:

1. Hand held devices ( e.g. smartphone, iPod, iPad, PSP)
2. Piracy and Copyright
3. Types of ports, eg. USB, Fire-wire
4. Bluetooth
