Difficulties and Solutions
A problem that occured today was that the internet was very slow and because I hadn't finished the researching of the topic I was currently working on, I was unable to complete my research on the topic 'handheld devices'. I overcame this difficulty by working on the structure of my powerpoint slideshow. I duplicated the amount of slides I would need, then I put the correct headings, a contents button that is a hyperlink to the contents slide and arrows to indicate where to go.

Change topics
I have changed the last topic that I have chosen to do. Instead of bdoing bluetooth, I have decided to change the topic to WI-FI.
So far in the powerpoint I have completed the content of 1 topic.

Synopsis
- A clear synopsis that outlines the purpose and goal of your video. For example are you creating an instructional video on cyber safety aimed at young people . This should only be three or four lines.
The purpose of the video is to recreate the Harry potter and the deathly hallows literal trailler. We plan to make the already good video into more of a comedy/ more entertaining with different actions and dialogue. The video is aimed at Harry Potter fans in the school and other people to see the comedic side of the world wide phenomenon.

Internet Speed
1. What is the speed of the connection from your computer to the Sydney location on the map?
0.29 Mbps
2. What is the speed of the connection from your computer to the U.S location on the map?
0.62Mbps
3. Why did the data transfer rates vary? [Hint: think of what happens when an eight lane highway moves into a two lane highway?]
The data starts to slow down.
Audio Bit Depth Sample Size and Sampling Rate

4. Compare the quality of AM, FM and Digital radio.
AM radio is broadcast on several frequency bands. Frequency modulation (FM) is a form of modulation which conveys information over a carrier wave by varying its frequency (contrast this with amplitude modulation, in which the amplitude of the carrier is varied while its frequency remains constant). Digital radios send the analog audio signal digitized into zeros and ones, compressed using formats such as mp2, and transmitted using a digital modulation scheme.

Uplaoding Animation
I uploaded my animation yesterday and during that time I encountered a difficulty while uploading it. Every time I tried to upload the video a message would come across the screen:
I asked a teacher how I was supposed to upload the video. He told me that my animation was still saved as a movie maker file and this was not the actual animation file. He then told me to save it as a movie. When I tried again after saving as a movie, I found that I could upload the animation.

Animation on Windows Live Movie Maker
I have now finished making the frames that will be in the animation. I have 129 png frames. The custom size of each frame is 500 by 475. I have imported all the frames into Windows live movie maker. I have readjusted all the times so now all frames are 0.1 seconds. The last 13 slides are 0.5 seconds so the message that flashes across the screen is legible. In total, the whole animation goes for approximately 18 seconds.

Coolock animation
Today I have completetd several more frames for th eanimation and am currently up to my 60th frame. The frame rate that I am aiming for is 0.2 seconds per frame. The frame shape is a square. I had several difficulties so far in my animation, such as finding the right tools to use to create a frame, but I have overcome them by asking others for help. I have taken another picture from the inkscape clipart library. It is a green bird which is going to be the centre of the animation.

Animation Making
Describe what software you used and why you choose it.
The software that I have used to create my animation is the Inkscape drwing application along side Windows Live Movie Maker. Inscape is a draing application that provides you with many tools in the process of making a movie. The starting frame of my animation is shown below. All the images that I have used have been taken from the site 'Open Clipart Library'. The link was found on student net.
Describe the creation process you followed.
The creation process that I followed was making all the frames using Inkscape and then adding them aas a collective file to Windows Live Movie Maker.
What image format were you saving your work in during the development of the frames?
During the development of the frames I saved it as an svg file.
What image format did you save your frame as?

The Animation Begins
A couple of days ago I started my animation with the purpose of promoting my house, Coolock. I have decided that I am going to use a tree with different coloured leaves. A green bird will then come and touch the tree. All the other coloured leaves will fall off except for the green ones. Text will then appearon the screen stating " GOCOOLOCK"

Digital Media
- Forms of digital media that surround us is a blank CD, blank DVD, Blu-ray disc, USB Flash Drive and a digital media player.
- The number system that digital data is based on is the binary number system. The two digits that are used to code all digital data is 23.
- Bit: a unit of measurement of information (from binary + digit); the amount of information in a system having two equiprobable states.
- Byte: a unit of digital information in computing and telecommunications.
- Sampling Rate: the frequency of sampling per unit time
| Image of Sampling rate |
- Colour depth affects the apperance of an image by altering the colour quality depending onthe amount of bytes or bits in that particular image. For example if you have one or two bits in an image you will only have a monochrome coloured image. Whereas is you have an image with more bytes you will get a better quailty image with 64 bytes being the largest so far.
- Sampling rate only affects video as it takes the sample per second, a video is a moving image and therefore the sampling rate would take the images per second. However colour depth only affects still and video digital media. Nothing is produced in still images and therefore a sampling rate is not affected

Draw vs Paint
Drawing programs create images composed of objects(e.g. squares, circles, triangles). The objects can have properties such as colour. These objects can easily be edited (e.g. change position and rearange them). Drawing programs are created through vector files.
Paint programs create images pixel by pixel. They can't be easily edited, the only way do to this is to edit individual parts. The files they create aren called bitmat files.
Drawing prorams include:
- Word
-Inkscape
-Microsoft Paint
-Photoshop
